About
A point of view.
I connect the dots between food, brands, business, and technology.
I'm Ali, 41, originally from Iran, and I've been living in the Netherlands for around eight years.
I enjoy living in the Netherlands, especially the openness of the culture and the people around me.
My connection with food started long before my current work.
I spent around seven years working in the food ingredients industry in Iran. During that time, I represented and worked with leading international companies including DSM, Campus Italy, and Diana Food.
I also spent several years studying in Italy at Politecnico, which became another important part of my international experience.
Later, my journey in the Netherlands gave me opportunities to work with companies including Givaudan, Danone, and Weber Vacuum Group.
Food also follows me home: my wife is a food technologist, so conversations about food, ingredients, products, technology, and the industry are a normal part of our life.
Outside work, I love football, play golf, and spend most of my free time with family and friends.
All of that shaped how I work today. I help small and medium-sized companies understand how they can compete and grow.
What interests me most is discovering why some companies succeed and others struggle to get noticed.
My process starts with research: the market, the competitors, and the company itself. I want to understand the business before trying to market it.
From that research, I identify the right audience, what customers actually care about, where the company can differentiate, and where it should focus its time and budget.
Then I turn those findings into a practical marketing plan.
For smaller companies, I also help create websites that are not just digital decoration. I believe a good website should behave like an extra member of the marketing and sales team.
For medium-sized companies, I help plan and manage trade shows and exhibitions so they can get more commercial value from being there.
The underlying idea is simple: I've spent years around food businesses, ingredients, technology, and international companies. Today, I use that experience and research mindset to help smaller companies understand their market, find the right audience, and compete more intelligently.
